Clyfford Still

American artist, Clyfford Still was a leading figure in Abstract Expressionism. His dramatic arrangement of color formations are designed to give the impression of color being torn off the canvas, revealing more jagged layers beneath. These large scale paintings are truly exquisite + can be viewed at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, a place we totally love + get great inspiration from. Or, treat yourself to a book of his works, Clyfford Still by David Anfam.

These beauty products can be found at Mother's Market + the like. We find the Mud Pack Masque to be particularly lovely. It makes your skin feel extremely soft, your pores look microscopic + in these rough economic times, it is also soft on the bank account (the masque is around 5 bucks!).

Baby Blues

Take a hint from the Gucci runway looks for spring 09' + get a little crazy with a pop of color on the eye! This could go really well, or be a complete disaster. Just make sure that you add black liner around the entire eye to create a sexier look, + tone it down a bit with relaxed hair + nude lips.

Your next assignment: while getting ready...channel Jane Birkin, shimmy round the room listening to  Talking Talking by New Young Pony Club and Clowns by Goldfrapp, paint the nails a killer red and let them dry while sipping on a glass of wine or some iced tea, and see where it gets ya.
