Stephen Zeigler

An old friend + amazing photographer. We love the vivid rawness of his images + his knack for making his subjects reveal themselves in such an unconscious way. Whether he is shooting a Quiksilver campaign, monks, or some vagabond, Zeigler is able to capture the true sprit of them all. Check out his website www.stephenzeigler.com .

Azure

While (finally) watching Mama Mia! the other night on a girls night in we were entranced by the vibrant rooms + textiles in the film. We are definitely fans of this sparingly rich method of design, utilizing over dyed natural fabrics against white washed walls.

Eye Candy

1stdibs.com is a site we absolutely adore. Not only can you shop for one of a kind antique furniture + jewelry but it is chalk full of design inspiration. With categories like 'Style Compass' + 'Required Reading', one is sure to spend hours perusing this vault of information!

The Youngbloods

Sometimes there is nothing like playing a good ol' song to right the wrong...We have all heard The Youngbloods groovy tune Lets Get Together many a time (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas anyone?) but they have so much more to offer. Ride the Wind, Josianne, Sunlight + Sham are songs we listen to on those lazy days everyone needs, where we lounge around and simply enjoy a sunny afternoon, some good company + a cool drink.

Perty In Pink

There is just something about these glossy Rebecca Minkoff laptop cases that make our mouths water. Hot pink + orange certainly get you in the mood for warmer weather, while one can't go wrong with good old black patent leather. Get yours on shopbop.com

Croc Flat Iron

We just wanted to share a little piece of hair heaven with you. This guy will make your hair sleeker than any other straightener you have ever encountered! Its amazing ceramic plates close cuticles of hair more firmly than regular irons, sealing cuticles of hair to prevent split ends, reduce frizz, + retain hairs natural moisture, oil, + color. Just be careful because it gets really hot + we have sizzled a bang or two!

It Couldn't Hurt

No matter how much natural style we think we have, there is always something more to be learned. So why not learn from the best? American design legend Billy Baldwin's paired-down yet snappy aesthetic is truly something to behold. Billy Baldwin Decorates (Holt, Rinehart & Winston, 1972), is the how-to book all others are measured by. Lessons to be learned: Colors ability to transform, atmosphere created by a seamless blend of new + old, take into account architecture first + then decor.
